THE
GLEANER Company yesterday paid tribute to renowned ceramist Cecil
Archibald Baugh by presenting him with the Honour Award for Excellence
in Arts and Culture at his home in Vineyard Town, St. Andrew.
A delegation,
headed by Governor-General Sir Howard Cooke, and also comprising
Managing Director Oliver Clarke, Editor-in-Chief Garfield Grandison
and Karin Cooper, head of corporate affairs, presented the award
to Mr. Baugh.
Yesterday's
honour delighted the 95-year-old ceramist, who has been recognised
internationally and has served as a mentor.
He was commended
by Sir Howard for his work, and he in turn heartily thanked the
Governor-General and The Gleaner for recognising him.
