Roberts (right), financial director and deputy managing director
of The Gleaner Co. Ltd., presents a cheque for $101,392 to Major
Devon Haughton, (centre), Eastern Divisional Commander of the
Salvation Army, and Major Darrell Wilkinson, (left), divisional
secretary. The handing over was done yesterday at William Chamberlain
Men's Hostel and Rehab Centre, downtown Kingston. The management
and staff of The Gleaner Co., supported the Salvation Army in
its annual Christmas Kettle Drive by hitting the streets on
Tuesday to assist the fund-raising. Also, the company donated
to the Salvation Army $2 from each copy of The Gleaner sold
