Marceline Collins-Figueroa, Lecturer in Science Education at
the University of the West Indies (UWI) (right) accepts the
2003 Gleaner Honour Award for Excellence in Health from Governor-General,
Sir Howard Cooke, during the 24th Annual Gleaner Honour Awards,
on behalf of her husband, Dr. Peter Figueroa, the Health Ministry's
chief, Epidemiology and AIDS. The awards were held last Thursday
